This is great stuff. As simple and cheap as faux meat comes – and now available in Woolworths. Or is it Coles. I have no idea which is which. Probably Woolworths. Anyway, most asian grocers have it. It’s been sold as long as I can remember, design unchanged. If anyone knows, I’m curious as to how long it’s been sold as is.
For this dish I fried the mock stuff with mushroom and onion, adding smoked paprika and cayene pepper, cos it’s winter.
The fried mix was braised in soy sauce for seasoning. You simply throw a tablespoon of soy and stir it in for ten seconds. It will cling and glisten.
Served with rice and salad.
