Walk against warming tomorrow

By Ali*, on December 11, 2009

For those who know me, it’s no secret that my laziness borders hysterically funny and tragic.

This is so true that it hurts to just vocalise my decision to carry a giant banner through Brisbane’s streets under Australia’s midday summer sun tomorrow. And I know clever people have organized steel poles to hold up the banners giant sails. Fun.

As my descendents were Irish, German and English I expect to return home without skin.

Call to action

It might be a bit late, but seriously, If I can do this while being barely motivated to feed my face, a normal person like you can.

Find out what’s going on in your city at this page – and just turn up for a bit of exercise and sun. But don’t forget your long sleeved shirt and wide brimmed hat if you’re a princess like me.

It was much easier than I thought it’d be. Plus the clever people had wooden poles. I was all worked up and scared for nothing.
