How Will People Eat Less Meat

If humanity is going to rock out for millennia to come, a few things need to happen.

The environmental crisis faced by Earth is becoming apparent. As governments learn about it they are looking at options to protect the people. Soon these options will include the reduction of animal production.

The Question?

The question is going to be asked: how are people going to stop eating meat?

The answer is simple: information. To avert disaster, governments need to stop babying their populations and start dishing out the truth – it hurts, but it heals.

Change doesn’t need to be forced on people anyway. New information will create a grassroots demand for change.

A tremendous amount of courage is required of our leaders today. They need to tell us what we don’t want to hear, but what we need to hear – something never done before. Politics is going to quit being a PR operation and become effective representation. The current fear saturating our populist governments needs to be replaced.

What Information?

We need the same understanding of our world that scientists have. The benefits of reduced animal consumption are real and fast. Governments must not sit on information, and pro-active informing of the public must be policy.

There is a lot of scientific information regarding the following that both governments and people are unaware of:

  • How meat effects the environment and climate (governments are becoming aware)
  • How plant-based diets can benefit us (health, environment) (governments mostly unaware)
